Station History
Matsuo-Hachimantai Station first opened its doors to the public on October 30, 1927. Initially, it was known as Iwate-Matsuo Station. The station underwent a name change in 1988, adopting its current designation, Matsuo-Hachimantai Station, to better reflect its geographical location and connection to the renowned Hachimantai area.
