Manganji Station (TT08) is situated in Hino, Tokyo, specifically at the intersection of National Route 20 Hino Bypass and Tokyo Metropolitan Road 503 Tachikawa-Sagami-hara Line. Although the surrounding area is officially designated as Manganji, Hino City, due to land re-parceling, its official address is 124 Arai, Hino City. The station is well-connected, with a bus stop providing further access to the surrounding areas.
This station is particularly significant for history enthusiasts as it is the closest stop to the birthplace of Hijikata Toshizō, a prominent vice-commander of the Shinsengumi, a special police force from the late Edo period. His grave, located at Atagoyama Sekidenji Temple, is also easily accessible from here. Visitors will notice a special inscription on the platform pillars, proudly declaring "Birthplace of Hijikata Toshizō," highlighting the station's connection to this historical figure.
Railway Lines
Manganji Station is exclusively served by the Tama Toshi Monorail Line, operated by Tokyo Tama Intercity Monorail. It features two side platforms, ensuring efficient passenger flow. The preceding station on the line is Takahatafudō (TT-07) towards Tama-Center, while the following station is Kōshū-Kaidō (TT-09) towards Kamikitadai.

Manganji Station officially opened its doors on January 10, 2000. According to data from FY2013, the station served approximately 3,800 daily passengers, indicating its importance as a local transportation hub.
