Station History

Kōnotori-no-sato Station first opened its doors on December 15, 1929. Interestingly, it was originally known as Tajima-Mie Station until its renaming in 2015. The former name, Tajima-Mie, was significant as it was the only station in the Tajima region to bear "Tajima" in its name. Even after the change, "Tajima-Mie" is still used as a sub-station name, preserving a piece of its historical identity.
