Kominato Station is situated 94.5 km from Metoki and 27.4 km from Aomori, with Shimizugawa as the preceding station towards Metoki and Nishi-Hiranai towards Aomori. Passenger trains operate for 17 hours daily, with a frequency of approximately 30 minutes during morning peak hours.

Station History

Kominato Station boasts a long history, having been in operation since September 1, 1891. The current station building, featuring its side and island platform layout, was completed in 1986. Since 2010, the station has been under the operation of the Aoimori Railway Company, marking a significant transition in its management. It is recognized as the busiest railway station within Hiranai.
