Kitsunegasaki Station boasts a rich history, having first opened its doors on December 9, 1908. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes, reflecting the evolving landscape of the area. Initially known as Uehara until 1927, it then became Yuenmae until 1944, and then Kitsunegasaki until 1968. It was briefly named Kitsunegasaki Yangu-randomae until 1985 before reverting to its current name. In fiscal year 2017, the station recorded a daily average of 2657 passengers, highlighting its continued importance.
