Station History
Kitajūhachijō Station officially opened its doors on December 16, 1971. Interestingly, prior to the subway's establishment, a tram stop with the same name existed for the Sapporo City Tram's Tetsuho Line. This former tram stop was located approximately 100 meters west of the current station, at Kita 18-jō Nishi 5-chōme on Tarukawa-dori, highlighting the evolution of public transport in this area of Sapporo.
