Kirohara Station was situated in Kawamoto, within the Ōchi District of Shimane Prefecture, Japan. While no longer operational, its former location offers a glimpse into the rural landscapes of this part of Japan. The area is characterized by its natural beauty, typical of the Shimane region.

Kirohara Station first opened its doors in 1962, serving the local community for over five decades. However, due to declining ridership and the overall closure of the Sankō Line, Kirohara Station ceased operations and was officially abolished on April 1, 2018.
