Kii-Yura Station is situated in the town of Yura, within the Hidaka District of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. The station is primarily served by the Kisei Main Line, also known as the Kinokuni Line. While typically only local and rapid trains stop here, there have been historical instances where some limited express trains made special stops. This occurred notably in September 1985 for the 700th anniversary of Hōtō Kokushi at Kokoku-ji Temple, and again in the summer of 1989.

Kii-Yura Station officially opened its doors on October 28, 1928. The line serving the station was electrified in 1978, modernizing its operations. As of fiscal year 2019, the station recorded an average of 308 daily passengers, highlighting its importance to the local community.
