This station is a crucial interchange for the Takamatsu-Kotohira Electric Railroad (Kotoden). It is officially part of the Kotoden Kotohira Line (line number K01), which connects Takamatsu-Chikkō Station to Kotoden-Kotohira Station. Additionally, trains from the Kotoden Nagao Line (line number N01), which originates from Kawaramachi Station, also serve Kataharamachi Station, offering enhanced connectivity across the prefecture.
