Station History

Opened on April 1, 1951, Kashiikaenmae Station has a rich history. Its name is derived from the former Nishi-Tetsu Kashii-Kaen amusement park, which closed on December 30, 2021. Despite the park's closure, the station name has been retained. Before the extension of the Fukuoka City Subway Hakozaki Line to Kaizuka, shuttle trains operated between Kaizuka and Kashiikaenmae. The station also had previous names, including Fukunichienmae (until 1942) and Undōjō-mae (until 1957).
