Kamo Station, known as Kamo-eki (加茂駅), is strategically located in the heart of Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. It serves as the primary transportation hub for the city center. To distinguish it from the Kamo Station on the Kansai Main Line operated by JR West, tickets for this station are printed with "(Shin) Kamo", referring to the Shin'etsu Main Line.

The station is operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and is exclusively served by the Shin'etsu Main Line. It features two side platforms and two tracks, facilitating both local and rapid services. Key connections include Higashi-Sanjō towards Naoetsu and Niitsu towards Niigata for the Shin'etsu Main Line Rapid service, and Hanyūda towards Niigata and Honai towards Naoetsu for the Local service.
