Kajikazawaguchi Station is situated in the town of Ichikawamisato, within the Nishiyatsushiro District of Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Despite being an unstaffed station, it plays a significant role in the local transportation network. Its coordinates are 35°32′30″N 138°28′16″E.
Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Minobu Line, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). All trains, including the limited express 'Fujikawa', stop here. Notably, approximately half of the local trains originating from Kofu terminate at Kajikazawaguchi, meaning services towards Fuji become less frequent beyond this point. The station is located 66.8 kilometers from Fuji Station.
Station History
Kajikazawaguchi Station first opened its doors on December 17, 1927. It was originally known as Kajikazawa-Kurosawa Station until 1938 when it adopted its current name. For the fiscal year 2016, the station recorded an average of 128 daily passengers.
Travel Tips
As an unstaffed station, travelers should be aware that there are no ticket counter services. It's advisable to check train schedules in advance, especially when planning onward travel towards Fuji, due to the reduced frequency of services beyond this station. The station features one island platform.
