Station History
Kabutoyama Station first opened its doors on December 15, 1929. Interestingly, it was previously known as Kōyama Station until 2015. In 2014, the Kyōtango City "Station Nickname Selection Committee" held a public competition, resulting in the station receiving the charming nickname "Masu no Iratsume no Sato Kabutoyama Station," referencing a historical figure.
