Iwashiro Station (いわしろ駅) is nestled in the scenic town of Minabe, within the Hidaka District of Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. Railway Lines
The station is a stop on the Kisei Main Line, also known as the Kinokuni Line, which is a significant railway artery connecting various parts of the Kii Peninsula. Iwashiro Station features two side platforms and two tracks. Local trains and rapid services (Kirime) stop here, connecting to Minabe and Kirime. However, the Limited Express Kuroshio services do not stop at Iwashiro Station.

Iwashiro Station officially opened its doors on September 21, 1931. The line serving the station was electrified in 1978, enhancing its operational efficiency. Interestingly, the station is also known for its appearance in Hiroko Taniyama's song "Tengusa no Uta" (The Song of Tengusa), adding a touch of cultural significance to this local transport hub.
