Railway Lines

This station is exclusively served by the Mojikō Retro Scenic Line, a heritage railway operated by the Heisei Chikuhō Railway. The line is known for its nostalgic charm and scenic views. Only a single four-car passenger train, affectionately named the Shiokaze (潮風号), operates on this line. Services run between March and November, primarily on weekends and holidays, with eleven round-trip services daily at 40-minute intervals.

Station History

Opened on April 26, 2009, Idemitsu Art Museum Station received its name through a naming rights agreement, with the Idemitsu Sazo Memorial Art Museum Foundation purchasing the naming rights. Interestingly, during its planning stages, the station was provisionally known as "Retro Chuo Station" (Retro Central Station) before its current, art-inspired designation.
