Hitachi-Taga Station (ひたちたが) is conveniently located in Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture, making it a key transportation hub for the area. The station is operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and also functions as a freight depot for the Japan Freight Railway Company (JR Freight). Station History

For many years, it was known by its previous name, Shimomago, until 1939 when it adopted its current designation.
