Hina Station officially opened its doors on December 20, 1951. For many decades, it played a crucial role in the region's logistics as the primary hub for freight transport on the Gakunan Railway. Although freight operations ceased over a decade ago, the station continues to serve the local community, with an average daily ridership of 142 passengers recorded in FY2017.
