Harimachō Station is conveniently situated in Harima, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. Unlike the nearby JR Sanyo Main Line (JR Kobe Line) Tsuchiyama Station, Harimachō Station is located closer to the town's central area, making it the most accessible station for the Harima Town Hall. As of 2016, it was also the only Sanyo Electric Railway station located in a rural district.

Station History

Harimachō Station first opened its doors on August 19, 1923. Interestingly, it was not always known by its current name; prior to 1991, the station was called Honjō. This change reflects the station's evolving role and connection to the local community. In fiscal year 2019, the station recorded an average of 2595 boarding passengers per day, highlighting its significance for local commuters and visitors.
