The station is primarily served by the Ainokaze Toyama Railway Line, operated by the third-sector railway company Ainokaze Toyama Railway. Although it belongs to this line, most trains stopping at Etchū-Miyazaki Station are actually services from the Echigo Tokimeki Railway Nihonkai Hisui Line, which extend from the adjacent Ichiburi Station. Etchū-Miyazaki Station officially opened its doors on November 20, 1957. It features a single island platform with two tracks. As of FY2015, the station recorded an average of 67 daily passengers. Currently, the station is unattended, meaning there are no staff present to assist passengers or sell tickets on-site.
