Location & Access

Chikugo-Yoshii Station is conveniently situated in Yoshii-machi, Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture. As the central station for Ukiha, it provides essential transportation links for residents and visitors alike. The station features two side platforms and two sidings, with platforms linked by a footbridge. While not fully accessible, it does offer a staffed ticket window (outsourced) for passenger convenience.

Railway Lines

The station is operated by JR Kyushu and serves the Kyūdai Main Line. It is located 26.4 km from Kurume. All trains, with the exception of the limited express "Yufuin no Mori," stop at Chikugo-Yoshii Station, making it a well-connected hub for local and regional travel. The preceding station is Tanushimaru towards Kurume, and the following station is Ukiha towards Ōita.

Station History

Chikugo-Yoshii Station first opened its doors to passengers on December 24, 1928, making it a historic part of the region's railway network for over 95 years. In fiscal year 2021, the station saw an average of 398 daily passengers, ranking it 233rd among JR Kyushu stations.
