Bingo-Mikkaichi Station officially opened its doors on April 25, 1930. Interestingly, it was initially known simply as Mikkaichi Station until 1933, when it adopted its current name, Bingo-Mikkaichi. This change likely helped distinguish it from other stations with similar names, adding the 'Bingo' prefix which refers to the old Bingo Province.
