Bandai-Atami Station is situated in Kōriyama, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. Specifically, it's located in Atami-machi Atami 4-chome, Kōriyama City. The station serves as a gateway to the scenic Bandai-Atami Onsen hot spring resort area. Its name, 'Atami,' was borrowed from the famous Atami Onsen in Shizuoka Prefecture during the Kamakura period, and 'Bandai' was added to distinguish it from Atami Station in Shizuoka.

Station History
Bandai-Atami Station has a rich history, having first opened its doors on July 26, 1898. It has undergone several name changes throughout its existence. Initially known simply as Atami, it was renamed Iwaki-Atami until 1965 before finally adopting its current name, Bandai-Atami.
