SECRETO offers less a meal and more a full-sensory performance. At a 12-seat counter that feels like a stage, guests experience a single, simultaneous dinner service that combines dramatic lighting, booming music, and a chef who acts as master of ceremonies. The experience is a tightly choreographed show built around modern European cooking.

The omakase course is known for its theatricality and technical precision. Reviewers consistently praise the dramatic bookends to the meal: the signature 'Himitsu no Heart' starter, a delicate cocoa-butter sphere that bursts with fruit purée, and the spectacle of chefs shaving liquid-nitrogen-frozen foie gras over French toast at the counter. Other standout dishes include the main of prized Noto-gyu beef and a comforting 'donabe gohan' (clay-pot rice) to finish. The thoughtful drink pairings, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, are also highly rated.

The atmosphere is intentionally high-energy and loud, with a club-like feel that is not suited for a quiet, intimate dinner. The restaurant's popularity also means that reservations are exceptionally difficult to secure, often requiring waits of many months.

Dinner is a set price, typically in the ¥20,000–¥29,999 range. Reviewers in 2024–2026 reported paying around ¥27,500 to ¥29,700 for the full omakase course with drink pairings, tax, and service included. Guests consistently find it excellent value for a destination dinner, given the quality of the ingredients, cooking, and unique entertainment.
