Universal Studios Japan (USJ) in Osaka is one of the world’s most visited theme parks. Getting in can be challenging — long queues are common — but wait times can be reduced with express tickets, which generally cost about twice as much as regular admission. Compared to Disneyland, USJ targets a slightly older audience: many of the most popular attractions require a minimum height of 132 cm. The park consists of ten zones: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, WaterWorld, Amity Village, Universal Wonderland, Minion Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Super Nintendo World, each offering various rides and attractions. Tickets start from around ¥8,600 for adults and ¥5,600 for children.
